Carinya is our original homestead. Perched on a hill, she is perfectly placed to view our 3000 olive trees and sparkling dam. With scatterings of gardens amongst the gum trees, Carinya offers the perfect place to relax, explore or play with friends and family in comfortable accommodation and embrace all the charm of the country.
A slow combustion fire and reverse cycle air-conditioning will keep you warm in winter and cool in summer.
The magnificent rustic outdoor entertainment area features a large BBQ and Pizza Oven and is perfect for catching up with friends and family. Surrounded by fairy lights and beautiful gardens you won't ever want to leave.
Tara Cottage

Privately nestled behind our 100 acre working olive grove, Tara cottage is all about country charm.
Tara Cottage features a verandah to the rear which looks out over the river flats and native bushland. It also has a large wooden deck to the side with a comfy outdoor setting with BBQ to allow guests to sit and enjoy their meals whilst looking over the beautiful olive groves.
With a slow combustion fire, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, BBQ area and large open and enclosed deck areas plus a modern and fully equipped kitchen, every detail has been taken care of so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your stay.
Roviana Cottage

Roviana Cottage sits agacent to our 100 acre working olive grove. It offers the perfect blend of modern accommodation with the charm of a country retreat.
Roviana's covered outdoor area is complete with pizza oven and BBQ. This rustic space is perfect for entertaining and enjoying the view of the bushland and olive grove.
After your meal, warm yourself by the fire whilst reclining on the huge log seating, and watch while the kids run around in the fields of space, complete with sand pit.
Our Family Farm
River Flats Estate is our family owned olive grove nestled between the yellow cliffs of the Brokenback Range and the Wollombi Brook at Broke.
Our family have been enjoying this property with friends and family for over 40 years. My daughter and I still live on the property and are proud producers of olives, olive oils, seasonal chutneys and relishes, vinegars and soys, jams, local honey, soaps and beauty products and of course our farm stay accommodation.
All products are handmade and available through our shop, located at 500 Wollombi Road, Broke, and at a range of local markets or here online.
Our olive grove has 3000 trees and is comprised of a number of different, mainly Tuscan, varieties, chosen for their suitability for either oil or table olive production. They were planted 25 years ago and were among the first for the hunter valley.
We look forward to welcoming you at River Flats Estate.
Better Homes & Gardens featuring River Flats

When you stay with us, you share the property with a few of our friends. The geese on the dam, a few helpful chickens, pigs, goats, alpacas, guinea fowl and our native kangaroos. Come and explore.
